What To Expect

With the All-on-4 New Teeth New Life procedure, the patient has one or two visits to the office to allow Dr. Krakora and your Restorative Dentist to gather information for a treatment plan (e.g., CT Scan, X-rays, impressions, photos). Following this consultation, the patient is scheduled for surgery implantation and the new teeth are fitted and adjusted, all in one appointment (even when extractions are necessary). The patient comes to the office in the morning with unhealthy (or without) teeth and leaves in the afternoon with a beautiful set of fixed, functional teeth.

After almost six months, when the gums have fully healed and the implants are fused to the natural bone, your dentist will take new impressions of the patient’s mouth and prepare a final, stronger, permanent set of teeth adjusted to a perfect fit--at no additional cost. This helps ensure that the teeth will last for decades and provide maximum support, beauty, and function to the patient.

Treatment Timeline

The timeline for treatment and recovery varies from patient to patient. However, the following would be a typical timeline for a full replacement of one or both arches of teeth. At your free consultation, you will get a free panoramic X-ray or 3D CT Scan and discuss your dental needs with Dr. Krakora. He will then explain your treatment options, answer your questions, and recommend a course of treatment.

At this time, one fixed price will be determined that will include the implants, beautiful new teeth and all services--a price that will not change! If you choose to move forward with treatment, your next step will be to schedule a full dental examination with your Restorative Dentist. Your Dentist will make an denture that will be used in the surgery.  After your exam, your procedure will be scheduled, usually within two to three weeks. Once your procedure has been scheduled, the Surgeon, Restorative Dentist, and Dental Implant Lab begin the creation of your replacement teeth which will be ready for the day of your procedure.Patients who have previously worn full dentures may require an additional appointment prior to their implant procedure for a “try in” of their new teeth. On the day of the procedure, you arrive in the morning and initially see Dr. Krakora. If extractions are required, the surgeon takes out the bad teeth, smooths the bone, and then places the implants. After the placement, you will recover for a few hours while Dr. Krakora finishes your new teeth. Dr. Krakora then places the teeth on the implants and makes the final adjustments to be sure your bite is right and your smile is beautiful.Once your teeth are in place, you will be given instructions on care and follow-up and will be sent home with medications to help with any discomfort. Most people need a day or so to completely recover from the procedure before returning to a full schedule of activities. You will be scheduled for follow-up examinations in 10 days, six weeks, and three months after surgery.

Final Steps

After the implants have fully integrated with your jawbone and your gums are fully healed (about six months after your procedure), you will be scheduled to have your final teeth placed. These final teeth are different from your initial teeth in that they are made with a titanium support structure (invisible to you) for greater strength and are finally adjusted to your healed gums for a perfect long-term fit. After your treatment is complete, Dr. Krakora will recommend a general dentist near you for cleanings and maintenance. Should you ever need any repairs or adjustments to your new teeth, you can come to Dr. Krakora. When you feel you are ready to make the change you deserve to see in your smile, confidence, and lifestyle, contact our team today to schedule your consultation!
